Adveto starts development of new ECDIS G8!
The G8 is a completely new product but equipped with a “Classic Mode” with same controls and presentation as in our current ECDIS systems. The new ECDIS will also be compatible with all existing Adveto hardware as Keyboards, Control units, ESIG, SCU etc. Our current ECDIS-4000 will co-exist in parallel with the new G8 for many years ahead.
A completely new Adveto Communication Unit will facilitate and ease communication with the G8.
Multitouch and pinch zoom will be supported by the new G8

225 ECDIS STM systems - Adveto is one of three selected suppliers!
Starting 2015 and running till the end of 2018 the STM Validation Project will demonstrate the STM concept in large-scale test beds in both the Nordic and Mediterranean Seas, encompassing around 300 vessels, 10 ports and 5 shore based service centers as well as using the European Maritime Simulator Network. The key strategic enablers of STM will be tested and validated.

New ECDIS-4000 type approved software upgrade -
Now available from Adveto !
Adveto can now offer a preslib 4.0 upgrade as one of the first ECDIS manu-facturers. Our upgraded ECDIS certificate also supports STM and the new RTZ route format.
Please note that this is a pure software upgrade and that the existing Adveto ECDIS hardware still can be used.

Important info regarding ECDIS-4000
All the current ECDIS-4000 systems (no matter if BASE, STD or EXT versions) are equipped with IHO presentation library v3.4. There is a grace period meaning that these system are allowed to work as type approved ECDIS until 31st August 2017 without any changes. (The grace period was recently extended from 31st August 2016 to 31st August 2017 by IMO NCSR)
After this grace period the ECDIS-4000 systems needs an upgrade in order to maintain the type approved status.
